Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RegexMate website and its regular expression testing tool (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

RegexMate provides a free, browser-based tool for testing regular expressions — match highlighting, capture group inspection, replace and split modes, a railroad diagram visualization of the pattern, and a ReDoS backtracking guard. All processing happens in your browser.

Acceptable Use

• Use the Service for lawful purposes only.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the hosting infrastructure.
• You remain responsible for the patterns and text you choose to test, including any content you own or control.

No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Regex matching results, diagram renderings and ReDoS assessments are informational — verify critical patterns against your target environment before relying on them in production.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RegexMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including data loss, misparsed patterns, or business decisions based on tool output.

Intellectual Property

The website design, branding and original content are the property of RegexMate. Your patterns and test text remain entirely yours — we never see them.

Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
